The Jane Goodall Institute’s (JGI) Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center in the Republic of Congo is home to 150 rescued orphan chimpanzees. These chimpanzees are victims of the illegal commercial bush meat and exotic pet trades, often arriving at the sanctuary sick, malnourished, and injured. Under the skillful care of JGI’s dedicated staff, these chimpanzees receive a second chance at life. You can provide the gift of a safe, happy home for these chimpanzees and receive exclusive updates on many of the individual chimps!
