Want to Be Like Jane Goodall? Join TEAM JANE!

Every day people ask me, “How can I  help Jane Goodall?  In general, people are looking to jump on the first plane to Africa in order to do whatever it takes to protect chimps and the habitats that they live in. Truthfully however, the best way to get involved with Jane’s work is by making an impact in the places closest to you, like your own community. Believe it or not, you don’t necessarily have to work for the Jane Goodall Institute to join Jane’s team…

All over the world, there is a network of hardworking, every day people just like you taking Jane’s message to their own communities, making tremendous positive change for people, animals and the natural world we all share. Jane’s message certainly isn’t bound by a continent or four walls of an office.  You can be a catalyst for change like Jane yourself, right now.

Team Jane is a network of individuals raising money for the Jane Goodall Institute’s work to accomplish her vision by protecting species, their habitats, and the well-being of people around the globe. The beauty of Team Jane is that not only do you get to #BeLikeJane, but you get to do so anyway you like! It’s incredibly easy to start:

Step One: Visit the Team Jane website

Step Two: Start your own dream team to help you accomplish your do-gooder goals

Step Three: Set a goal for yourself.

We recommend raising $200, but the sky is the limit. Everything you raise will help!

Step Four: Raising money for Team Jane can be done in any which way you see fit. Be creative!

Run a 5k for chimps, have a lemonade stand at the end of your driveway, or host friends for the TV premiere of National Geographic’s JANE which premiers on March 12, 2018 on the Nat Geo channel and Nat Geo Wild! This is your time to shine and show off that your passions and skills can contribute to a better world. Get your friends, family and community involved, have a blast, and make a true difference.

Step Five: SHARE!

Invite your friends, family, loved ones and network to help you achieve your goal by emailing, sharing on social and getting people to register.

Now what?

As a proud member of Team Jane, you will have all of the materials you might need to reach your goal.  You can find printable downloads, info sheets, fundraising ideas, sample letters,  images, videos and so much more!

In the end, all donations will go to the Jane Goodall Institute and therefore directly toward Jane’s work! Jane is able to advocate and do what she does best because of your work done through Team Jane. Jane has famously said, “Every individual has a role to play”. Find yours and with each of us doing our part, we can change the world.
