With your help, Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots could win $50,000 to support and expand their programs in the Los Angeles area. Receiving this grant from LA2050 would allow Roots & Shoots to Connect with more youth, mentor more educators, and inspire a generation to take action for the Earth.

For example, there is a member of the Roots & Shoots U.S. Roots & Shoots Youth Council USA in LA who has clocked over 800 hours of service and manages a soup kitchen near his home. His tenacious spirit is contagious! Roots & Shoots offers resources to succeed. Empowering a young person could be one of the greatest gifts we can offer our future. Children, and young people, have capacity for greatness. It is with new eyes that we can change old patterns. It is with faith and hope that we can find solutions. It is the young that can teach the old. Let’s put the power back in their hands. Let’s push them to fight for what they feel like fighting for.
