Looking Forward

Where it all began for the Jane Goodall Institute and the Disney Conservation Fund: a carving of David Greybeard on the Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
As the Jane Goodall Institute joins the Disney Conservation Fund in celebrating this milestone, we are looking forward to continuing to make the world a better place for wildlife and the environment together. Through their newly named Increase the Time program, the Disney Conservation Fund has committed to again providing support to Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots through international grants, student mini-grants here in the United States, and capacity building and professional development for Roots & Shoots staff worldwide. And through their Reverse the Decline program, the Disney Conservation Fund has continued their commitment to help protect great apes, namely the Grauer’s gorillas and chimpanzees of the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo through the CAP that helps reduce hunting of the species, rehabilitate apes in sanctuaries, and increase the protection of great apes by local communities.
The Jane Goodall Institute could not be more proud of our collaborations with the Disney Conservation Fund. We offer our biggest congratulations to them on their milestone and sincerely look forward to advancing the protection of chimpanzees and other great apes together in the years to come.
